Palette & Purpose
02 / Brand colors

Give your palette a hierarchy

A practical starting point, not a fixed formula

Start with a primary color, an accent and a small set of neutrals. Assign each a purpose so every layout does not become a new color experiment.

Try a warm neutral direction

Cream · #F6F0E5
Sand · #C7A987
Cocoa · #47382D

This sample is inspiration. It is not a claim that a palette suits every business or that every possible text pairing is accessible.

  1. Choose the lead color. Use it consistently in the parts of your brand that should be recognized quickly.
  2. Reserve the accent. Use it for small highlights. Do not make every element compete for attention.
  3. Test actual combinations. Preview body text, buttons and headings. Check contrast with a dedicated contrast checker before publishing.
  4. Save the values and rules. Record the hex codes, backgrounds and approved text combinations in a one-page brand guide.
Do one real-world test.

Apply your palette to a social post and a simple website section. Adjust what is unclear before expanding the system.
